Global Shot Doctor

Duane Lewis has committed his professional life to excellence in athletics and teaching. He has been inducted into the Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame; voted All-Time Colorado All-State Game Coach; and inducted into the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame.

A record-setting player at Burlington High School, Coach Lewis earned a full scholarship to Russell “Sox” Walseth’s powerhouse program at Colorado University. He then parlayed his skills and know-how into a decorated career as a true “coaches’ coach” at Alamosa and Alameda High Schools, all while beginning a highly successful initiative that grew into the Global Shot Doctor.

Coach Lewis’s teams set state records for scoring and shooting percentage. As head coach, he led his teams to over 325 victories in 24 seasons.

Decades and numerous distinctions later, Coach Lewis remains as committed as ever to promoting excellence in the sport he loves. In 2011, Alameda High School named its gymnasium in honor of Coach Lewis and its court in honor of Coach Scott Smith.
